OnePlus showcases 5G tech developments at IMC, along with Qualcomm, Ericsson

Delhi: OnePlus, the global technology brand, collaborated with Qualcomm Technologies Inc. and Ericsson to showcase the power of the much anticipated 5G technology at India Mobile Congress (IMC). Offering real-time user experience opportunity at the event, the premium smartphone brand highlights its 5G developments through its latest OnePlus 7 Pro 5G smartphones displayed at Qualcomm Technologies’ booth 4.2 in Hall 4.

Till Wednesday, 16 October 2019, OnePlus will be leveraging the renowned platform of IMC to highlight its unique developments achieved in the 5G technology segment through its smartphones powered by the flagship Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 855 Plus Mobile Platform. Snapdragon 855 Plus is built for speed and enhanced performance while delivering superior 5G connectivity. A full arsenal of features, including Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ X50 5G Modem-RF System, Qualcomm® Snapdragon Elite Gaming™ and the on-device Qualcomm® AI Engine, unlocks a powerful gaming experience, especially when gaming in 5G.

This collaboration is further strengthened through Ericsson’s 5G infrastructure network enabling OnePlus to present the remarkable abilities of this upcoming technology by offering real-time tech demonstrations through cloud gaming features.

In addition, OnePlus also partnered with Hatch as the cloud gaming service provider to showcase the true power of 5G technology by using Hatch’s smartphone-based games streaming platform. With the live demo opportunity provided at the Qualcomm Technologies booth, IMC visitors can stream graphics-intensive games overcloud on the Snapdragon-powered OnePlus 7 Pro 5G smartphones using Hatch’s cloud gaming app. These games can be directly streamed via the effective 5G network offered by Ericsson, wherein users can easily access them through the cloud server, without undergoing any hassle towards downloading these apps.

Addressing the cloud gaming platform, Vesa Jutila, Chief Commercial Office at Hatch shared, “Cloud gaming is emerging as the lead consumer-facing use case for 5G, which allows premium-quality games to be shared and played together instantly over mobile networks in real-time. We’re happy to work with our friends at OnePlus and other companies to demonstrate the consumer benefits of the whole 5G ecosystem, from network to handset to application.”
